Bearish watching birds
Water is especially important for songbirds in the winter months as access to water is limited by freezing temps….you can purchase a heated birdbath or devices that are low voltage and insert them into existing birdbaths. I recently saw one website that used a car battery to heat the birdbath!
I ran across a favorite quote in one of my journals today….
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness concerning all acts of initiative and creation. I have loved this quote my whole life but it was not until the last few years that I actually read it with intention. Intention can be the Holy Grail of all dreams, manifesting them into reality. To begin, he says; to commit….to sit and do the work, whatever the work is for you. For me, it was to take the passion I have for gardening and for photographing the garden and put it into a cohesive and spiritual outlet and share it with others.
Right now it is hard to imagine that Spring will even come again, the Winter is hard and cold and only just beginning….but the dream is still alive under the snow, the birds crowd the feeder and provide hours of wonder and laughs as they fly acrobatically around one another vying for the sunflower seeds or peanuts.
Bearish hangs with me, watching out the window, growling ferociously at the biggest birds….a grackle that I’ve named Jack is the latest of the new visitors. Stay awhile at the window with us, check out the visitors to your yard….let them fly thru your mind and dreams and then Begin….
